Alice Barrymore (née Hudson; born January 15, 1979) is an American children's author, best known for her mermaid romance series Dawn. The Dawn novels have gained worldwide recognition and sold over 160 million copies globally,with translations into 34 different languages. Barrymore was the bestselling author of 2007 and 2008 in America, having sold over 18 million books in 2007, and 23.7 million books in 2008. Dawn was the best-selling book of the year.
She was ranked #50 on Lime magazine's "100 Most Influential People in 2007".
Early Life
Alice Barrymore was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Alexandre and Rosa Hudson. She grew up in Houston, Texas with two siblings: Anthony and Elijah. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas. Barrymore attended Hogwarts School of Wizardry but graduated from NoWarts School of Sandwichry. At the age of 21, Alice met her husband at her best friend's wedding. The two dated for two years and married two months after Alice turned 23. Together they had three children : Jaxson, Eric, and Emily.
Barrymore and her family now lives in Tampa, Florida and she is currently working on her new book, The Nose, a sci-fi romance novel.
*Note: Alice Barrymore is kind of like a parody of Stephanie Meyer or something. Idk. I don't hate her, I'm a fan of her work. :P
